October 2009 - Dr. Hoang Giep proctors Dr. Ted Shaw at Orange Park Medical Center (Florida) for his first robotic surgeries.

September 2009 - Dr. Hoang Giep speaks at the annual Michelin Health Fair about robotic surgery.

September 2009 - Dr. Hugo Perez from Clearwater, FL visits the Epicenter for a case observation of da Vinci hysterectomy.

August 2009 - Dr. Hoang Giep Proctors Drs. James Wilson and Grant Miller at Lake Norman Medical Center (North Carolina) for their first da Vinci surgeries.

August 2009 - Dr. Bang Giep proctors Dr. Scott Schneider in Charlotte, N.C. for his first robotic cases.

August 2009 - Drs. Bang and Hoang Giep are selected as two of only 15 gynecologists in the country to train new gynecologists on using the da Vinci robot.  The Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas is designated an "Epicenter" and recognized as a center of excellence by the makers of the da Vinci robot.

June 2009 - Drs. Bang and Hoang Giep attend the first meeting of Intuitive's Physician Advisory Board in Sunnyvale California.

June 2009 - Dr. Amy Solomon from Tampa Florida visits for a case observation of Da Vinci hysterectomy

November 5, 2008 - The Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas is one of the first centers to use the new Rumi Arch by Cooper Surgical.  Drs. Derrick Barnes, Victor Harouny, and Raleigh Godsey from Matthews, N.C. and Dr. Joe Robinson from Rock Hill, S.C. come for a case observation of Da Vinci hysterectomy.

September 30, 2008 - Dr. Tina Petok from Charotte, N.C., Dr. Frank Lake from Gainseville, G.A., and Dr Katy Knodel from Augusta, G.A. visit for case observations of Da Vinci hysterectomy.

September 10, 2008 - Drs. Sarah Smith and Lisa Spyrida from Columbia, S.C. visit for a case observation of Da Vinci hysterectomy.

September 3, 2008 - Drs. Bang and Hoang Giep present "Robotic Gynecology - What Every Woman Needs to Know" at the annual Michelin health fair.

August 29, 2008 - Dr. Hoang Giep proctors Dr. Pedro Roca with his first Da Vinci surgeries at Saint Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

August 12, 2008 - Dr. Hoang Giep proctors gynecologic oncologist Dr. Jim Hunter in a Da Vinci hysterectomy.

August, 2008 - Dr. Tim Duniho from Anderson, S.C. visits the Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas for a case observation of Da Vinci hysterectomy.

July, 2008 - Drs. Mark Wild and Christopher Hutchinson from Columbia, South Carolina visit the Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas for a case observation of Da Vinci hysterectomy.

June, 2008 - The Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas begins using an 8.5 mm camera for the Da Vinci S.  The newer, smaller camera provides the same excellent 3D view, but with a much smaller incision.  Less than a dozen centers around the world were selected to use this new camera.

May 21, 2008 - Dr. Lydia Jeffries from Asheville, North Carolina visits the Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas for a case observation of Da Vinci Myomectomy.

May 8, 2008 - Dr. Bang Giep proctors gynecologic oncologist Dr. Larry Puls in his first robotic surgeries.  

May 2, 2008 - Dr. Bang Giep will be presenting "Robotic Hysterectomy" to the 2008 South Carolina Health Information Management Association Meeting at the Village at Pelham.

April 30, 2008 - Dr. Jessica Morano from Wheeling, West Virginia and Dr. Beverly Jaramillo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania visit the Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas for a case observation of Da Vinci Hysterectomy.

April 26, 2008 - Dr. Hoang Giep will be presenting "Robotic hysterectomy: what every woman needs to know" at the Women's Expo 2008, Health, Humor and Hormones.  The Expo will be held at the Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. 

March 2008 - The Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas is selected as the first physician-led case observation site in South Carolina.  Gynecologists from around the country come to learn the latest surgical techniques from Drs. Bang and Hoang Giep.

December 15, 2007 - Dr. Hoang Giep assists in the training of Da Vinci gynecologists at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina.

November 2007 - Dr. Hoang Giep presents a talk on robotic surgery at Costco in Spartanburg

August 11, 2007 - Drs. Hoang and Bang Giep are the first gynecologists in South Carolina to perform surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System.
